Maisie’s passion for ballet started at the age of three. She studied Royal Academy of Dance grades one through eight and completed her examinations by age fifteen. During this time, she simultaneously trained as a competitive Irish Dancer, and performed ballet and modern in The Joy of Dance’s Youth Ensemble at various venues, her favorite being the Soulpepper Theatre at Toronto’s Distillery District. At age sixteen, she chose to pursue ballet recreationally and also joined Harmony School of Dance as a staff member.
Maisie studied Engineering at the University of Waterloo and was lucky enough to be reunited with Harmony School of Dance during her co-op terms in Toronto. After graduating in 2018, she was thrilled to find a position in Toronto and to be able to join Miss Charissa once again. Maisie can’t think of a better place to foster her love for ballet, teaching, and working with children.
